Happy People Just Don't Kill Their Husbands!

Went on a mile POWER WALK with my Aunt Marilyn this morning and the endorphins are pumping! Isn't kinda funny when you do something that "should" make you tired actually getting ya going?!

- To explain the title of this blog...anyone seen Legally Blonde? Yeah, no further explanation is necessary.

Just a quick note to my baby brother Jarom. (Yes, you are and will always be my baby brother. Even though to tower over me by like 7 inches!) Jay...thanks! Your quiet encouragment has really helped me. The way you've approached me about my weight/health has really sunk in. You weren't hateful and demeaning. You made me really think about myself and that I am worth looking good. Not for you or "some guy" but for me. We've always been close and I hope we'll always be close and I hope you will keep lifting me up... I love you!

So I Was Thinking...

...who am I? Not like, "I am a daughter of God, that's who I am?" But what kind of person am I? What makes me, well, me. I read one of my old blogs and I only listed five things about me...is that really it? Well, yes, at the time... I couldn't think of anything else. So, here are af ew more.

* When I take out my trash and I put a new liner in the can I HATE being the first to start putting trash in it again. I will literally fill like 3 or 4 grocery bags before I will tell myself, "Okay, its really stupid not the use the trash can."

* An extention on the words that Claire and Jace make-up. We had Claire this past weekend and she graced us with a new word for harmonica - hamakaka (A's to be pronounced like the Spanish A). My FAVORITE beyond FAVORITE word that Jace uses it E-Tuz, meaning, of course, because. I'll ask him random questions like, "Hey, Jace, why do you like Thomas the Train." "E-Tuz, Auntie Em, I just love Thomas." Or, "Hey, Jace, why don't you like to take naps?" "E-Tuz, Auntie Em, I don't like to take a nap." Another one from Claire...Jarom's name to the niece and nephews is Uncle Jay and at one point in Claire's language growth when she would call for Jarom, it was sound like "Eco Day" and just the tease her (which we do best) we would tell her, "Claire, Happy Eco Day" and she was say "Eco Day What?" Translating to, "Claire, Uncle Jay" and she would respond, "Uncle Jay, what?" Hahaha... I love the way kids talk!

* I'm VERY old fashioned I feel, with a bit of modern Girl-Power! I don't like approaching guys. I don't know...its probably due to my EXTREME shyness, but its nice to be wanted, ya know. Its probably why I'm still single at the age of 26 (27 in June...aaaggghhhhh)! I like to have guys open doors for me and stand when I enter the room. Not that I'm like, "I am woman..." kinda thing, because...to the single guys out there...if you are just nice to me and love me, I'll totally worship the ground you walk on.

* I totally think I'll make a good wife/mother. Its just convincing someone of the opposite gender. All I've ever wanted to do is stay at home and wake up at 4am and fix my husband a huge breakfast before work and fix him a lunch, wash dishes, fold towels and have babies! But...because its a righteous want, Heavenly Father is requiring a wait, and wait and wait...boy what a practice of Faith, right?!

* I like kids...a lot, but I really don't like my calling in Primary. This is the only time, when receiving a call from the Branch President, where he has asked me to pray about it. I take advantage of the fact that..."if I'm called, it has to be the right thing"... kinda thing. I'm not so sure about this one... I'm trying hard and I'm sticking it out until I feel like I just can't handle it.

* I don't need a house bigger and better than the 1970 10x60 trailer home I have, but I would like a home bigger and better than my 1970 10x60 trailer home. Dad and I are SLOWLY fixing it up and its appearance is better. Its my first home, I bought it with no help from my parents and I've lived in it since February of 2005.

* Speaking of my house...My house has a name, as well as my vehicles. For example, my house's name is Homer. Get it?! Home-er. Homer. Well, anyway. All my vehicles have had names and the sad part is when I started to talk about "Old Timer" or "Boo" those around me know exactly who I'm speaking of. And for your knowledge, Old Timer was my first vehicle. A HUGE 1986 Ford F-250, single cab, extended bed, gray truck. Loud as heck and had a ton of power. Boo was my 1989 Bronco II. Honestly, if it wasn't like, seriously, falling apart from all corners, I'd still have it! I LOVED that vehicle! Cracker was my 2000 Ford F-150, single cab, extended bed. When I saw him at the delearship, I knew he was mine....Awww, love at first sight. ;) My newest baby, a 2002 Nissan Frontier, Sports Edition, crew cab, SWB has yet to be named and I've had him for almost a year... poor baby!

* I have many voids, therefore, I have many animals. And we're still growing. And because of love my furry friends, I must share... There's Lucky Joe, registered bay stallion with AQHA as Poco Joe Sizzler. He's THE MAN!! He's is soooo super sweet and is GORGEOUS!! Princess Aurora, my dream horse. I bred her Mama, a sorrel Arabian/Quarter Horse cross with a homozygous black and white paint stud and got my bay and white paint princess! Beautiful, but a total ditz! Pearl...our little parasite. Long story...for another blog. The first foal born here at the Ox Bow O. A brown beauty who will make me some nice looking mules...eventually! Dusty Rose...my latest! A...well, I haven't figured out her color yet...miniature horse. She's really weaved her way into my heart and is my baby! The goats, Roman, Annie, Calamity and Jarom's (whom I care for) Heidi. Tom the Turkey, also Jarom's, that I bought when he was 4 wks old. BIG ol' baby! 17 chickens...bout the be just 12...killing 5 evil white roosters in the next. Two dogs, "My Heart" Kaysi Louise. Ah...another blog entry at a later date. And Daisy Sue...cute as a button, but another ditz. A gold fish named Gomez and a black popeyed gold fish named Black Nemo (compliments of Jace) and a sucker fish named Tiny (compliments of Jace, also).

Well, time to get to work, I'll be back...

Happy 9th Birthday Lucky Joe!

Lucky Joe at 1 year old with Aunt Megz
Lucky Joe at 9 yrs old with Aunt Megz and Claire

My big boy!

Time Well Spent

There is NOTHING I LOVE more than spending time with my niece and nephews (family, in general). Though Mom and I were super tired after spending all morning/early afternoon at the Dogwood Parade in Woodville, we felt it was a good day to go visit Kevin, Sarah and the kiddos.

Sadly, Kevin had to attend the Priesthood session of General Conference. That's okay though, not that I don't enjoy his company, too (and I honestly do), he needed to be where he belonged and I'm proud of him for not even questioning it. (My sister married a good, righteous man! He's been nothing but to good to her and their kids).

Anyhoozers! Sarah was wondering what it would be like to grocery shop without having a 3 year old and a 7 month old and since we were there, she was allowed to experiment a bit...and we were "allowed" to take a tour of their new home... and PLAY with LuLu and Lindy Poo!!!!!

I'm half proud and half ashamed to say that my BFF is my 3 year old niece.
She just knows when I need to hear something good.
She's always telling stroking my cheeck and telling me how beautiful I am.
I don't believe her sometimes, but I do thank her and take that time
to get all the sugars I can...she's gettin kinda greedy with 'em!
Auntie Em & Lindy Poo
I am totally in love with this little man!!! I CANNOT get over his
dark brown hair and those deep blue eyes!!!
AAGGGGHHHHHHH!!! My mouth is already dripping with saliva
for his sugars. He is such a happy baby and such a joy...what a blessing!!
I know his Mama doesn't like me calling him "Lind Y Poo" and perfers "Lin DON Poo"
I can't help but to call him so. He's my Lindy Poo like Claire is
my LuLu and Jace is my Hobo

No caption needed.

The "Pair" :o)

Isn't he the cutest ever?!?!

Take Me To River...or in our case, the creek

Though Jace has never been fishing he's been recently asking, begging rather, to go! And so what does PawPaw bring home one afternoon?! A fishing pole for Jace...and not just any fishing pole - a SPIDERMAN FISHING POLE!
In the words of Jace, "YES! YES!"
Getting the hook and floater on the line...
Jace waiting "patiently"
Already getting the first fish pulled in!

LOOK!!! SEE IT?!?!

Its a little perch!

Checking out his fish!

There's the 2nd one!
About twice the size of the first one!

He (meaning PawPaw AND Jace) were so proud!

There's the "buddy fishies" as Jace called them

PawPaw and Jace
The 3rd (and final) fish they caught was a silver skinned shiner, but he was quicky released because he's a "feeder fish." AKA - on the bottom of the fish food chain...sorry buddy! :(

Strawberry Pickin'

I just LOVE doing stuff with my niece and nephews! I like to have them together, but alone, one-on-one time is important, too. Jace and I have had many opportunities to be together and do fun stuff, so I thought I'd take advantage of having Claire by herself. I gave her a few options and she decided she wanted to pick strawberries!!

Here we are at L&D's Strawberry Patch in Spurger.
(U-pick only strawberries @ only $1.40/lbs)
Here's our row, #32

"Look at this little cute baby one, Auntie Em."
Gammy decided to come with us and I'm glad
she did...we had SO much fun!!

Her bucket was almost full and
she just HAD to show us.

Showing us her loot...!
She was good
at paying attention and picking
the good ones.

Auntie Em (aka Me) and my LuLu (aka Claire)

Enjoying a bite while Gammy brings
in her bag to be weighed.

MMmmmm...strawberries!!

All I can say is, "Sorry Mom. I hope
they are play shorts."

Random Blog-EE-ness

Pres. Uchtdorf's talk during the Sunday morning session really got me to thinking. He gave a short story about a $20 bill. I've gotten this eMail several times, but anyway, it goes something kinda like this. "I am a $20 bill. I have been torn, stepped on, washed and forgotten, but I am still worth my $20."

What have I learned for six years in Young Women and taught for six years in Young Women? Individual Worth!!

I am my own ME!! Woo-Hoo!! ME!! Here are some random things you may not know about me...

1.) I LOVE it when I'm making my bed and the top sheet, when I throw it up (and hang on to the bottom) and it land perfectly in the right place...mostly. All I have to do is pull out a corner and straighten out the wringles. I feel like Mary Poppins! *snap*

2.) I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the smell of horse poo poo!! The healthy kind that has a lot of digested hay in it...especially in the morning when the day is jjjuuuuuussttt starting to warm up. It'll get this sweet tang to it. I don't want to eat it...um, goodness no...but the smell is AWESOME!

3.) I LOVE the way kids make up their own versions on words. For example, Jace says "marsh-ello" for marshmellow. "sir andels" for sandals. And when he's singing the clean up song, he says "clean up, clean up, everybody toot and share"

4.) I LOVE picture frames!!! Like FOR REAL!!! The super tacky ones, the elegant ones, the plain ones, the cheap ones!!! They are "my thing," the a fault!!!

5.) I DO NOT NEED compliments, but it sure feels good to get them, ya know?! I would rather have no attention at all and be under the radar, then have like a million friends. I say that, but I love friends...who doesn't? Who doesn't need someone on their team...their side...who has their back? The friends I have...I love you with all my heart! Thanks for everything!
